The Men in Blue ran riot against Zimbabwe in the fourth T20I as they dished out an emphatic performance which also sealed the series for them with a game to spare. Captain Shubman Gill was impressive with the bat in his hands while Yashasvi Jaiswal had no intentions of relenting.

Winning the toss, India opted to bowl first. The hosts showed some solid intent up front as Wesley Madhevere (25) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (32) steered the opening stand to a solid 63. It was Abhishek Sharma who rattled the partnership by removing Marumani while Shivam Dube got the better of Madhevere.

India started tightening the vise around the hosts’ neck as except for their captain, Sikandar Raza who scored a warring 46, the rest of the batters gave in to meek submission. India restricted Zimbabwe to 152/7 at the end of their 20 overs.

The Indian batters wanted to get the job done without a fuss and their two openers, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were out in the center with blood on their mind. Captain Gill was happy to play the second fiddle, hammering 58 off 39 while Jaiswal rocked a 53-ball-93 to propel India across the finish line.

Jaiswal clobbered 13 fours and 2 sixes while Gill hammered six fours and two sixes to allow India clinch the bragging rights of the series and the match within just 15.2 overs. Jaiswal won the Player of the Match award for his defining knock of 93.
