ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule announced; India to start campaign against Australia

100 days from now and we will be treated to a grand fiesta in the form of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The ODI World Cup will be played in India from October 5th to November 19th. The tournament will commence with last edition’s finalists New Zealand and England clashing at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

India will be kick-starting their campaign with a battle against 5-times champions Australia, with the encounter scheduled for October 8th in Chennai. 

India will be playing Pakistan in a much-anticipated clash a week later in Ahmedabad on October 15th, a contest that will have undivided attention from across the globe. The ICC World Cup 2023 will span for 46 days, with 10 venues hosting the action, including Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium. 

It is a 10-team tournament out of which eight have already qualified while six other teams are battling it out in the Qualifiers being held in Zimbabwe for the last two spots. other two are battling it out in Zimbabwe. The tournament will be played in a round-robin format where each team will be playing against each other in the group stages.
