In RCB’s contest against Delhi Capitals, Richa Ghosh batted deep, almost pulling off an incredible victory from the sheer jaws of defeat. However, it was the last ball of the contest that left her heartbroken.

But as they say, every cloud has a silver lining and similarly, every time you fall, you get back up. Despite the situation being tight, Richa played the perfect two-to-tango and alongside Ellyse Perry for company, ensured that RCB got across the line without fuss.

Wobbling at 39/3 and with Perry batting at one end, RCB needed someone to anchor the innings before the gears could be changed. Richa stepped up to the task and did a phenomenal job of staving off the early infringements from Mumbai Indians while following it up with a robust response, scoring a 28-ball 36.

Talking in an interview at the end of the contest, Richa said, “I wanted to take some time at the start. When I was keeping, I noticed that the pitch was keeping low. I went for my shots after getting set. Everyone was sad (after the previous loss) but they cheered me up. Forgot it before the start of this match. Superb, the way Perry bowled was amazing.”
