Shreyanka Patil enjoyed a fabulous debut T20I series against England, as the youngster claimed five wickets from three matches at an economy rate of 6 RPO. She capped things off in style with a crucial three-fer in the final T20I that earned her the Player of the Match award. 

She decimated the English lower middle order in a flash, clinching the scalps of Bess Heath, Freya Kemp and Sophie Ecclestone. Her breezy three-fer, complemented by a miserly economy rate as she gave away only 19 runs from four overs was a burning testimony to her brilliance.

Shreyanka opened up on the very special occasion where she bagged her best figures in international cricket. At the post-match presentation, she said, “Very happy, first time I got a 3-fer, my family and coach were watching. Very happy and want to continue this performance. The experience I got in the WPL and India-A team helped, I am very happy to be a part of the Indian squad, enjoying it.”

She further added, “Huge experience for me to be bowling in tandem with Deepthi, she’s been backing me, she’s been having chats with me both on the field and off it. Looking forward to bowling with her. I enjoyed all three wickets, hard to pick one.”

The focus now shifts to the one-off Test match that is to be played against England from 14th December in Navi Mumbai.
