I am only going to wear an RCB jersey: Sunil Chhetri
India football team’s captain Sunil Chhetri has time and again said that he is a Royal Challengers Bangalore fan and now going a step forward, the Blue Tiger forward has revealed that he is only going to wear an RCB jersey and not of any other team.
Chhetri, who captains Bengaluru FC, appeared on an Instagram live with actor and comedian Danish Sait where he discussed his passion for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
"I am an RCB fan. There’s a small conflict of interest. My owners are Jindals (JSW) who have BFC but they also have Delhi Capitals. Initially, there were talks, not from the management… but Delhi Capital is coming to play, you should go and wear their jersey and be there. I said no chance. There is only one jersey and that is RCB.”
Chhetri, who is India’s all-time top goal scorer added that he has been to RCB games and he loves the turnout for the games.
A few weeks back, when a fan asked Chhetri which team he would want to play for in the IPL, the BFC skipper had dropped a subtle hint.
He’d tweeted, “I’m a Bangalore boy. That should answer the question.”
And RCB were quick to acknowledge the captain.
