The Royal Challengers Bangalore found a new hero who would establish himself as the king of the middle-overs, wringing scalps at crucial juncture in the middle overs. The man who is being talked about in the introductory lines is Sri Lankan virtuoso, Wanindu Hasaranga.

Last night against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, he would go onto claim a rollicking fiver that would leave the Orange Army scrambling while chasing a momentous 193. 

Faf would talk about Wanindu Hasaranga at length post the win against SRH. “I am really happy for Wani. I think personally he was looking forward to that one match where he blows right through the batting lineup. He has been threatening right through the campaign and obviously he was very happy tonight as it was one of those nights. He is obviously one of the special bowlers. If you are not picking him early, he is one of those bowlers who would get onto the lower order batters and we can run through very quickly,” he said.

Hasaranga himself would take up the mic after being adjudged as the man of the match and would shed some light on his most lethal strategy. “I try to bowl wicket to wicket when I bowl leg-spin and googly. That is why I get most of my wickets as LBWs,” he said.

“My role is to come in the middle overs and claim a few crucial wickets. The art of leg-spin is always associated with wickets and that is exactly what I try and do,” concluded The Lankan wizard.
