Hanuma Vihari might not have a headline-making innings to his name as yet but in Australia, the way he fought his injury to help India salvage a draw was a manifestation of all the talent he possesses.

In hindsight, it was one of those innings which helped India seal a place in the World Test Championship final. Vihari, who has spent the last few months in England, plying the trade in county cricket is aware of the challenges he will be up against playing for the Indian side.

The conditions in England will be way different from Australia, assisting the swing bowlers making it difficult for the batsmen to stay in the middle.

"Definitely, that's the challenge here. The overhead conditions play a part as well because when it is sunny, it gets a bit easier to bat, but when it is overcast, the ball moves all day. That was the challenge I faced early on in this season of county cricket -- because it was quite cold and the ball was doing a lot off the wicket," he told ESPNCricinfo.

The 27-year-old talked about shot selection and how it can be different in England than in other parts of the world, including India.

“In England, you have to be really certain with your shot selection. In India, you can get away with a push, or even if it is not there to drive, you can still get away driving on the up," Vihari concluded.
