An important fixture awaits us all as RCB is all set to lock horns with the Delhi Capitals in Bengaluru tonight. The fate of this contest will have salient repercussions on the IPL points table with the fate of RCB still very much in the balance.

Talking on the latest episode of RCB Bold Diaries, head coach Andy Flower highlighted the gravity of the situation and also spilled the beans on what exactly is the mood in the dressing room right now.

Flower said, “The most important results that have fallen in our favour are our own and that’s what we’ve got to be focusing on. Of course we are watching the rest of the table and we need some assistance from some of the other teams. But what we’re focusing on is how we play over the next two games. More specifically, how we play the next game which is against DC.”

He continued, “Faf and Virat have particularly led from the front with their actions and the rest of the team have been outstanding. I think we have seen an uptick in the way we have bowled in powerplay and that’s been led by Siraj and Yash Dayal. They have both been very skillful and courageous with the new ball.”

Andy concluded by saying, “We’ve seen glimpses of Will Jacks and what he can do and Cameron Green has also put in a couple of performances that have been really useful for us in the middle order. Rajat Patidar has shown his class. Not only class but the willingness to take on the bowlers in those overs just after powerplay which is really important to keep our momentum.”
