They say bowlers win you tournaments and it has been proven time and time again in terms of the shortest format of the game where eminent monikers managed to flip around the tide in vehement fashion, ushering their respective franchises to the Promised Land.

Only time will tell who will be the ones on which the Challengers would like to splurge. However, this list provides you with our picks for the best possible bowling options that may have quite a few targets strapped on them.

1.    Adam Milne

Milne has found steam going his way of late as he leads the Kiwi attack in the  absence of Trent Boult. He is a decent mover of the ball and can rack up some serious pace. Milne has a fine yorker in his arsenal too, a weapon that would be summoned by the fast-bowlers frequently, especially on the flat surfaces of the sub-continent.

2.    Reece Topley

Towering at 6’7, Reece Topley is one of those menacing left-arm quicks who can angle the ball both ways. He has had a grand start to his career and has already proven himself to be a valuable asset in the English echelons. On the flat tracks of India, it is important that a fast bowler can generate enough pace to emanate those bouncers that usually tends to take a lower trajectory than other pace-friendly countries. Reece Topley can be an absolute gem for the ranks, considering his energy and the searing raw pace.

3.    Adil Rashid

The English spinner was in fine touch in the recently concluded T20 World Cup and will have all eyes on him on the turning tracks of the sub-continent. He has previously been a part of IPL and will definitely like to be a bigger part of the Indian cricketing carnival. He is known for chipping away at the wickets in the crucial middle overs that act as a major impetus for his bowling mates to impose a firm stranglehold upon their opponents, with quite a chunk of domination taken away from the death overs.

4.    Adam Zampa

Hailing all the way from Australia, Adam Zampa has had a sublime start to the latest edition of BBL where he has been leading the Melbourne Stars in absence of Glenn Maxwell and has returned impressive figures of 2 for 27 in the opener against Sydney Thunder while following it up with another impeccable show where he bagged 3 crucial scalps at an expense of 27 runs against Hurricanes. He was also in electric touch in the ODI series between Australia and England, claiming 11 wickets in the 3-match series between two cricketing juggernauts. With time, Zampa has evolved into a better version of himself and his recent figures could be a major reason for teams to take a deep look at the Australian leggie.

5.    Vidwath Kaverappa

The Karnataka lad has been sprinkling his stardust for the state in recent times, especially in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy. He proved himself as a clutch player for Karnataka and managed to prise out important wickets under the pump. He claimed 17 digits in the Vijay Hazare Trophy from the 9 games, the third highest for any bowler in the tournament. He was also in blazing form in the Maharaja T20 Trophy, showcasing his searing speed, a showing that could have made franchises take notice.
