England may hand over three debuts in the upcoming T20 series against West Indies, including RCB bowler for the previous season, George Garton.

The other two fresh faces are David Payne and Phil Salt, even as the core of the English T20 team has remained the same.

The five-match T20I series in West Indies is scheduled to begin four days after the final day of the Ashes test and quite obviously the members who are currently part of the chequered rivalry will not be a part of the T20I series in West Indies due to the Covid protocols in place.

England were unable to select their primary fast bowlers as injuries deprived them of illustrious names like Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse, Sam and Tom Curran, Lewis Gregory, Olly Stone, and David Willey.

The five latest additions to the England squad have all been a part of the international roster in the span of the last two years. Eoin Morgan will be leading the side that will feature the names that are new while there will be others who have come close to international cricket previously.

Two more names are Tom Banton and Saqib Mahmood.

Salt posted a decent display in the franchise T10 cricket that helped his case in getting his first national call-up which was also amplified by the absence of star-batters who are currently involved in the Ashes.

Tymal Mills, George Garton, Payne and Reece Topley have been trusted with the onus of carrying the fast-bowling department.

England T20I squad: Eoin Morgan (capt), Moeen Ali, Tom Banton, Sam Billings, Liam Dawson, George Garton, Chris Jordan, Liam Livingstone, Saqib Mahmood, Tymal Mills, David Payne, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Phil Salt, Reece Topley, James Vince
