Fact file: Everything you need to know about Rajat Patidar
The Royal Challengers Bangalore announced the signing of Rajat Patidar for the remainder of the season as he was brought in as a replacement for the injured Luvnith Sisodia.
Sisodia copped an injury during the practice sessions and will continue to be in the RCB bubble as he completes his rehabilitation.
This won’t be his replacement Patidar’s first rodeo in the IPL as he has already posted a handful of significant displays for the Royal Challengers. Here is everything that you need to know about RCB’s latest addition for 2022.
· Rajat Patidar was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on June 1st, 1993.
· He joined a cricket club at the tender age of 8 and with the intervention of his grandfather, he was later enrolled in a cricket academy.
· Rajat started his career as a batter and shifted his focus to batting only after playing the U15 levels.
· His first-class debut came on 30th October in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy.
· He made his T20 debut for Madhya Pradesh in 2017-18 Zonal T20 League on 8th January 2018.
· He led the run-scoring charts for Madhya Pradesh in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy with a staggering 713 runs from just 8 matches.
· In the shortest format of the game, he has scored 861 runs from just 31 games at a blistering strike rate of 138.64.
· In the ongoing Ranji Trophy, in all the three games that he has played for Madhya Pradesh, he has scored four 50-plus scores in all the 4 innings that he has batted in, starring a century too.
