RCB Bold diaries: Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj and Faf du Plessis caught off guard
As the gruelling contest of the willow and the leather carries on with its usual swing in the franchise extravaganza, in a brief moment of comical respite, Virat, Siraj and Faf du Plessis were caught off-guard. They were bombarded with questions that fans would have for them only if they would get a day out with their favourites.
It is nothing short of a marvel to watch your favourite cricketers coming unhinged about their sporting inspirations and how they were stoked by them and what they would have done only if they would have been in their shoes.
In RCB’s latest video, three of RCB’s most reliable monikers were asked about their favourite players and their answers would leave you starstruck.
Virat always had a strong inclination toward Cristiano Ronaldo and his answer was never going to be different. Mohammed Siraj echoed his sentiments too about the Portuguese marksman.
Faf du Plessis had a special thing for tennis icon, Roger Federer. He even explained why he liked the Swiss stalwart so much. He was heard quoting, “To me, his personality is something that you always look up to. He is always a relaxed and chilled guy and very humble and someone that has achieved so much. He will always be a good example.”
This question was followed by what would the players do if they woke up as their favourite superstars. The answers were nothing short of rare gems. Virat said, “I would do a scan of my brain and see where does all that mental strength comes from.”
Mohammed Siraj’s humility would just blow you away as he cited, “If I would be as rich as him someday, the first thing that I would do is open a hospital for the poor. Especially in these Covid times, it would be a great help to them. That will always be a dream.”
Faf’s special proclivity for Rolex made him say that if he would have woken up as Roger Federer, he would check out his Rolex collection because the Swiss legend is the sponsor for Rolex.
Federer or Ronaldo, no matter whoever their icon was, these three have been blazing lodestars in their respective departments, setting the game of cricket ablaze with their individual brand of brilliance.
