Do whatever is right and just enjoy your game – Suryakumar Yadav’s special message to Team India
Team India posted a scintillating display in the recently concluded T20I series against Australia that saw them clinching it 4-1. It was a tightly-knit affair in the series finale where the Men in Blue secured a crucial six-run victory to issue a swashbuckling statement against a Matthew Wade-led Aussie unit.
This was Suryakumar Yadav’s first series win as the Indian skipper and he made no efforts in hiding his emotions. Despite being in rollicking touch in the first three matches, the last two contests of the series saw the captain misfiring. However, as they say, all’s well that ends well, similarly, Surya was ecstatic about how his boys performed and the overall result of the series.
Talking about the series at the post-match presentation, SKY said, “It was a good series. The way the boys showed their skills was commendable. We wanted to be fearless, we wanted to enjoy when we were in the middle. I told them, ‘Do whatever is right and just enjoy your game,’ and they did the same.”
He concluded by saying, “So very happy with that. If he (Washington Sundar) would have been there it'd have been an add-on. At Chinnaswamy, 200+ is easier to chase. 160-175 is a tricky task here. After 10 overs, I told the boys that we have a game on.”
