Depleted Team India seek to avoid whitewash against spirited Bangladesh
In a bitter unravelling, Team India has already let the series against Bangladesh slip and now the Men in Blue will be willing to prove a point with a statement in the final ODI. There will be a lot of questions teeming the horizon but at the end of the day, before the Indian team gear up in the Whites, they will like to get some confidence rolling in their direction.
A major pointer that will be doing rounds in the Indian echelons is finishing. For the second consecutive time, the Indian bowlers had their neighbours very much in their grip but somehow, they couldn’t finish things off. Rahul Dravid will try and ask his men to focus on administering the coup de grace when an opportunity comes knocking.
The Indian top order will also like to get some runs for themselves after a sloppy start that saw too much of the job being left for the middle order. By the time the brick and mortar arrived on both occasions, it was a bit too late for the batters to drop their anchors, rebuild and fire. A helping hand at the top can work wonders for visitors.
Bangladesh, on the contrary, will be going all out in an effort to register a historic whitewash of the Indian unit, a result that will reverberate for ages to come. They will be riding high on the shoulders of Shakib-Al-Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mahmudullah as the trio has left India twisted in an almost inescapable knot.
