Delhi Capitals seek an extension of rampant form against resolute UP Warriorz

It has been a rambunctious start for two phenomenal teams in WPL 2023 as the Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz will clash in what is going to be both the teams’ second fixture of the campaign. Delhi and UP secured emphatic victories in their respective fixtures, underlining their strengths in every department.

Delhi Capitals had a phenomenal start with the bat as Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning smashed the cherry around to aid their side to a significant number on the scoreboard. Jemimah Rodrigues and Marizanne Kapp were excellent with the bat too before Tara Norris notched up a 5-wicket haul to derail RCB’s chase and help her side register a 60-run win.

UP Warriorz had a questionable start with the bat while chasing a significant total, but Grace Harris turned things around as she brought the sound and fury to the middle with her exquisite array of strikes, while Sophie Ecclestone played the perfect two to tango. Chasing 53 from the final three overs, UP Warriorz walked away with bragging rights.

The Delhi vs UP battle will also have a lot of weightage, with a stronghold in the top two positions on the WPL points table for whichever team wins this contest. If the star-studded sides that come roaring into the fixture is just an inkling of what greatness they can produce, the exciting young guns battling it out passionately will be a treat for the sore eyes.
