Delhi Capitals eye second win of IPL 2023 as Sunrisers Hyderabad stand in their way
Two teams which are still to hit their straps in IPL 2023 will go head to head on Monday as the Sunrisers Hyderabad host the struggling Delhi Capitals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in the 34th match of the season.
At one point, post a win against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), it seemed as if SRH would capture some momentum, but defeats against the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have pegged Aiden Markram’s men back as they occupy 9th spot on the points table.
Things have been much worse on the other side of the fence for the Delhi Capitals, with only one win to show from six matches. However, they will take confidence from the fact that the win came during their last game, and momentum is certainly a very important thing in T20 cricket.
With both teams ailing in the bottom half of the IPL 2023 points table, this SRH vs DC clash has a lot on the line. A win for the hosts will help them climb to 7th, while for the Capitals, a win will continue to be a massive boost to their campaign.
