Chennai Super Kings host Sunrisers Hyderabad in another chapter of southern rivalry
In another encounter of southern rivals, Chennai Super Kings will today play host to the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the former hoping to extend their winning streak to a consecutive second game after pipping the Royal Challengers Bangalore in a nip and tuck encounter at Bengaluru.
As the race for the top four heats up, CSK will be keen to register their fourth win that would place them in a convincing spot going further. The MS Dhoni-led side has played five games so far with three wins to show, one of them coming at home.
The Orange Army, on the other hand, have somehow been off their element again, falling short of the desired promise as they have secured two wins and slumped down to three losses, sparking a few important questions that will need some answers. SRH will be coming into this game against CSK on the back of a loss against the Mumbai Indians, where their batting unit failed to stand up tall against MI’s bowling.
This will be an important fixture for both sides as a win for the Sunrisers Hyderabad will get them up to speed with the other teams while a victory for CSK will hold them in good stead in the race for the top four.
