ACC announce match timings for all fixtures in Asia Cup 2023
Following up on the dates that were announced for the Asia Cup 2023 that will feature 13 matches across 19 days, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) released the match timings as well for the six-team event.
The tournament will feature India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, and all the 13 matches, which will be played in the 50-over format, will commence at 3.00 PM IST.
Asia Cup 2023 will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with nine games set to be played in Sri Lanka and four in Pakistan. The tournament opener will feature Pakistan taking on Nepal at the Multan Cricket Stadium while the summit clash will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The four games that will be played in Pakistan will be contested at Multan and Lahore.
Co-hosts of the tournament, Pakistan will only be playing a solitary game in the group stage at home, with the much anticipated India vs Pakistan clash scheduled to be held in Kandy.
Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will have a chance to face each other thrice in the tournament, once in Group stages, once in Super Four while the final may see both of them clash again if they qualify for the summit clash.
