As India slumped down to West Indies in the second ODI of the series, it will be intriguing to see how the Men in Blue plan to turn things around after a mediocre batting display against the Islanders that cost them dearly.

In all likelihood, India may opt to bring Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma back into the playing XI, with the series on the line and the batting unit having put up a sorry figure in the first two ODIs. India may also tinker around with their bowling line-up, with Yuzvendra Chahal also waiting for his opportunity.

West Indies, on the contrary, will be high on confidence heading into the final game, particularly after laying waste to the high-flying Indians. They would probably be baring themselves out in pursuit of what can be a historical chapter in their recent cricketing history of defeating India in an ODI series.

As the caravan shifts to Tarouba, a lot of factors would be coming into play but for India at the moment, it is imperative that they do outpower the hosts to regain their confidence and momentum ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup that is coming closer than ever.

Ground Watch:

The Brian Lara Cricket Academy is a well-known stadium and has played host to countless cricketing affairs. A total of 76 ODIs have been played in West Indies so far with 34 matches being won batting first while 36 being secured, chasing. The average first innings score in the venue is 215 while the average second innings score is 178. The highest score in the stadium in ODIs has been racked up by India where they smashed 413 against Bermuda in the 2007 World Cup while on their last tour to West Indies in 2022, they also chronicled the highest run chase at Queen’s Park Oval by chasing down 312.
