Virat and Anushka sends social media abuzz with their recent exchange of banter
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are the epitome of couple goals and the duo always keep their social media presence lively for their fans.
The couple tied their knot in December 2017, and they have been grabbing the limelight ever since. The couple welcomed their first kid Vamika in January 2021.
In a recent Instagram post, Anushka Sharma took turn in making fun of her husband, Virat Kohli, after the latter posted a snap on his Instagram account that showed a captivating spectacle of a wild river coursing ahead in front of them and the rays of the sun playing a picturesque peek-a-boo.
Virat captioned the picture, saying, “With you by my side, I am at home anywhere (sic)." This was an unprecedented snap and with all the beauty sprinkling from it and the couple once again posting couple goals, the snap was roaring with love for the fans.
However, given the queen of banters and elegance that Anushka is, she posted an even funnier riposte that would have struck a chord or two in Virat. She responded to the post, quoting, “Which is great because you are hardly home (sic)."
Given the stringent schedule of the Indian cricket team and with the IPL making rounds in between, it obviously becomes challenging for the Indian captain in the longer formats of the sport to make the time cut for his home.
Kohli celebrated his birthday on November 5th and Anushka shared a very special post for her husband. She posted a picture of the duo spending time on a beach, quoting, “No filter needed, for this photo and the way you lead your life. Your core is made of honesty and guts of steel. Courage that pales doubt into oblivion. I know no one who can pick themselves up from a dark place like you can. You grow better in every way because you hold on to nothing in you as permanent and are fearless (sic).”
Virat will be returning to the Indian team for the second Test match against New Zealand. India swept aside the challenge from the Blackcaps in the T20 series as they bagged it by 3-0. Rohit Sharma was phenomenal in spearheading the charge for the Indians.
The Indian fans will be elated to see their captain return for the last Test and will be praying with clasped hands for him to break the long wait of his 71st century.
