Born in Balagoda, a historical town in Sabaragamuwa Province, Isuru Udana took giant strides in the junior cricketing circles. On the back of his brilliant performances in junior cricket, the crafty left-arm pacer rose through the tiers dramatically and made inroads into the Sri Lanka U-19 side.

In 2009, Isuru Udana received his maiden call-up to the senior side ahead of the World T20. Udana has been beset with a cluster of injuries and had to fight a battle of his own.

In 2018, the left-arm pacer expanded his armoury with his newly found batting abilities. An ability to handcuff the batsman with his off-cutters coupled with his batting abilities, Isuru Udana has been plying his trade in multiple T20 leagues around the globe.

His performances in Afghanistan Premier League and Mzansi Super League were an indication of his stock as an all-rounder which also marked his return to the Sri Lankan limited-overs setup.

Since September 2019, the left-arm pacer has picked up 34 wickets from a total of 23 matches across multiple leagues.

Representing Paarl Rocks, the 32-year-old showcased a brilliant piece of all-round effort throughout the league. With 10 wickets in the tournament, the left-arm pacer proved to be a bankable bowler for Paarl Rocks in the death overs. He played a significant role in their triumph in the Mzansi Super League.

Isuru Udana's inclusion in the side marks the proliferation of all-rounders in the RCB line-up. A handy batsman down the order and bred with an ability to curb down the run flow in the death overs, The 32-year-old will add a lot of balance to the RCB set up.
