After Krunal Pandya tested positive for COVID on Tuesday, two more members of the Indian contingent - Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham - have returned positive reports.

Both players were among the eight players identified as Krunal's close contacts. According to a report in ESPN Cricinfo, Chahal and Gowtham, along with Krunal will remain in Colombo, while the four other close contacts - Hardik Pandya, Manish Pandey, Deepak Chahar and Ishan Kishan - will be boarding the flight back home.

As per Sri Lankan government guidelines, anyone infected with the virus must isolate for at least 10 days and pass the prescribed tests before flying back to their country.

The trio is expected to remain in isolation for another week in Colombo. It is also believed that Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav will remain in Colombo before flying to the United Kingdom to join Virat Kohli's Team India for the five-match series.
