Yuzvendra Chahal just one wicket away from achieving another feat
Yuzvendra Chahal has hit the top form in the ongoing series against Sri Lanka. Having finished the ODI series as the highest wicket-taker, the leg-spinner is now eyeing to get to another record in the T20I series.
Yuzi, who bagged a wicket in the first T20I to provide an important breakthrough is just one wicket shy of becoming the highest wicket-taker against Sri Lanka in T20Is.
With 15 wickets, currently, the RCB spinner is tied with England’s Chris Jordan for the top spot. Chahal has bagged these wickets in seven innings, while Jordan took 8 innings to achieve the feat.
The second T20I will also be Chahal’s 50th T20 game for India.
West Indies’ Dwayne Bravo, former South African spinner Imran Tahir, retired spinner Saeed Ajmal, and former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi and Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa have 14 scalps to their name against the Lankans.
