You will see a more confident Yuzi: Chahal ahead of Sri Lanka series

Yuzvendra Chahal continues to be one of the vital cogs in India’s limited-overs bowling set-up. It’s quite natural to expect match-winning performances from the leggie on the tour of Sri Lanka, where he will be one of the most experienced bowlers in the line-up.

Speaking about his preparations for the series, Yuzi said that he is focused on his strengths and not trying to overcomplicate things.

"I've a couple of variations and I'm focusing on that only, not using other deliveries. You will see a more confident Yuzi in this series," Chahal said at a virtual press conference on the announcement of the title sponsors for India's tour of Sri Lanka.

The trick for any leg-spinner is the volume of work he puts in the nets, and Chahal is aware of that.

"I'm just working on my angles and in general trying to bowl more.”

In the recent past, there have been a few questions regarding Chahal’s form, but the RCB spinner sounded confident and brushed aside those concerns.

"My performance - I don't think it was a dip (in form) or anything. You can't perform in every match. I will try my level best. This series is very important to me," said the 30-year-old.
