WPL 2024 schedule announced; RCB-W to begin campaign against UP Warriorz on February 24th
The BCCI announced the full schedule for the second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2024), with the tournament set to kick-off on February 23rd with a clash between last year’s finalists, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will play their first match on February 24th against the UP Warriors at the Chinnaswamy, with the Bengaluru stadium set to host the first 11 league stages matches before the action shifts to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
A total of 20 league stage matches will be contested, with the Eliminator (March 15) and final (March 17) set to take place in Delhi as well and all the games to begin at 7.30 PM IST.
The format for the tournament remains the same as last year’s edition. The table topper will directly qualify for the final, while the teams which finish second and third will play out the Eliminator, with the winner set to join the No.1 ranked team in the final.
