As India gear up for the ICC Champions Trophy slated to start from 19th February, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma made a massive promise for the Indian fans. Addressing the crowd on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Wankhede Stadium, Rohit pledged for India to put their best foot forward in a quest to bring back home the Champions Trophy.

Rohit said, “We will try our best. It has always been a dream to represent the Indian team in any ICC trophy. We will embark on another dream of 140 crore people. I'm sure when we reach Dubai. 140 crore people will be behind us. We will try to do everything we can and bring the trophy back to Wankhede.”

The BCCI announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming tournament on Saturday which features the joint force of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. Rohit Sharma will be leading the side while Shubman Gill will be his deputy.
