In a webinar hosted by the UnAcademy, Sourav Ganguly evaluated India's dominant cricket display over the years. The BCCI president drew similarities between the rich culture of cricket in India and football in Brazil.

Brazil, the largest country in South America, is renowned for its vibrant football history and the abundance of talented football players. With five championship titles in the FIFA World Cup, Brazil is considered to be one of the most dominant teams in football history.

From Sunil Gavaskar to Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, India has constantly produced a rich lineage of cricketers who have redefined the game and won many laurels for the country.

“When Tendulkar finished, Dravid finished, the great Virat Kohli came. India will always produce champion players and this team will always be strong,” Ganguly said. “It’s like football in Brazil. You don’t know where talent comes from, but it comes," Ganguly was quoted as saying on a webinar hosted by UnAcademy.

The 47-year-old claims that India will always remain a cricketing powerhouse, considering the availability of adequate facilities and a well-structured system right from the grassroots level.

“We will always be a good team. We will always remain a strong cricketing country and we will continue to dominate world cricket," Ganguly added.

Sourav Ganguly highlighted the youngsters' unfathomable enthusiasm and love for cricket, which keeps the game safe and alive.

“On a Saturday or Sunday, if you go to Bombay, Bangalore, Calcutta or Delhi, you will see those young kids travelling in cars or their parents’ scooters — all going to the field to play cricket. The passion for the sport among boys and girls make the sport so safe and so secured,” he explained.
