It was a fine win for Team India as they went on to beat England in the second Test of the series, thanks to collective displays from the bowlers in the second innings with Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah leading the charge while Yashasvi Jaiswal’s first innings double century set the tone right for the hosts. Shubman Gill contributed in the second essay with another cracker of a century that made it a picture-perfect finish for Rohit Sharma and company.

Talking in a post-match chat on the sidelines, Yashasvi Jaiswal opened up on a few pointers where he talked about the match-up while dishing out a few quick words to underline the brilliance of Team India. He also shared his insights about his personal emotions that ran wild during the course of the game.

Jaiswal said, “Wonderful feeling, really enjoyed the game. One of the best moments to win a game for your country. We were just focusing on our process, focused on our fielding and I think it went well.”

Shedding some light on the surface, Jaiswal said, “There was a bit of crack and there was some seam movement, so it was a bit hard to play in the fourth innings. (Difference in white ball and red ball) It is very different, in these games I try to play till the end and in white game I go for it from the first ball and have an intent to score.”
