We have the best fans in the world – Sophie Devine

RCB-W stormed on to glory in Delhi as they clinched their maiden WPL title, getting the better of Delhi Capitals. Chasing 114, they got off to a watchful start. Realizing the need to shift gears, Sophie Devine stepped up and started peppering the bowlers all across the fence.

Talking in an interview on the sidelines after their historic triumph, Devine highlighted what went right and how the entire team came together in scripting this memorable moment.

Shedding some light on her early blitz, Devine said, “It's still not great but did the job and really stoked for the whole group. We had the parts last year and it was about putting them together.”

Then extending her accolades for the rest of the team members, Sophie said, “Outstanding from the management to get Sophie [Molineux] and Georgia in. Smriti was outstanding, she was calm and learnt on the go. And when you have Ellyse Perry in your team, it's just brilliant.”

She concluded with a note for the fans, adding, “To see how many people are there and to support them for RCB is special. We have the best fans in the world as we have seen with the men's team. Stoked to bring home the trophy in front of all these fans.”
