Stepping into Faf du Plessis's boots was never easy, but Patidar - who led Madhya Pradesh to the final in the 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy - brought out his very best that season.
On a video shared on RCB’s socials, Patidar pointed out to the new star on the crest and very proudly said (translated from Hindi), “Whenever I see this logo, I feel that we have definitely done something.”
Indeed, it was something as a prolonged wait of 18 years came to an end. A very special performance from the entire unit saw RCB beating Punjab Kings in the summit clash to lift their maiden IPL trophy. The latest campaign for RCB will kickstart on the opening day where they will be facing off against SRH in the curtain-raiser.
