Watch – Akash Deep claims Washington Sundar’s wicket with an inswinging peach in Duleep Trophy

Akash Deep has been on a roll in the Duleep Trophy and after claiming a four-fer in the first innings for India A, the second innings saw him register a fifer that left India B in a rut. Among the five wickets he claimed, the fourth in the second innings registered by Akash to remove Washington Sundar was an absolute ripper.

Bowling over the wicket, he dropped an inswinger to Sundar. The ball pitched outside the off-stump and swung in. Sundar, trying to drive, was foxed by the late wobble and before he could realize, the cherry had breached his defences, sending the off-pole flying.

The first innings saw Akash Deep registering a crucial four-fer for India A, claiming the all-important scalps of Rishabh Pant, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Navdeep Saini and Mukesh Kumar. The second innings saw him doing one better, picking up the wickets of Abhimanyu Easwaran, Musheer Khan, Washington Sundar, Sai Kishore and Navdeep Saini.
