Virat Kohli scaled the peak in ODIs once again, replacing Rohit Sharma at the top of the ICC ODI batting rankings. Kohli’s 91-ball-93 and his sensational run against South Africa saw him power his way to the top of the heap. With the latest pole position for Kohli, this is the 11th time that he has climbed to the top of the ICC ODI batting rankings.

The first time he got to the top was back in October 2013. He has also spent 825 days at the top of the ODI batting rankings which is the most by an Indian batter. In the last four ODIs prior to his knock of 93 in Vadodara, Kohli racked up scores of 74*, 135, 102 and 65*.

Rohit Sharma found himself in the third position of the rankings with 775 points. Kohli is at the top with 785 points while Daryll Mitchell has the second spot with 784 points. India’s KL Rahul also got a boost by a spot to make it to the 11th position in ODIs.
