Virat Kohli returns to top five in ICC T20I rankings
On the back of some spectacular performances with the willow in the ongoing T20I series, India skipper Virat Kohli broke back into the top five of the ICC T20 batsman rankings. He currently occupies the fifth position with 744 points. The two consecutive half-centuries against England saw him gain a massive 47 points.
In addition to that, he became the only batsman to feature in the Top 5 rankings across all formats. The talismanic batsman holds the pole position in the ODI batting rankings with 870 rating points. In the Test batting rankings, he is at the fifth position with 814 points.
Despite a string of low scores, England’s Dawid Malan retained the numero uno position with 894 points. Australia’s limited-overs captain Aaron Finch is 64 points behind Malan in the latest rankings. Pakistan’s Babar Azam finds himself at the third position with 801 rating points to his name.

Opener, KL Rahul, is the highest-ranked Indian batsman in the ICC T20 rankings. The 28-year-old, with 771 rating points, is placed at No.4. Rishab Pant too made significant strides as he climbed 30 spots to be ranked 80th. Among the other Indians, Washington Sundar jumped two places to occupy the 11th spot. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who returned to the action after a year, broke into the top fifty of the bowlers ranking.
