Virat Kohli plays full of energy and doesn't want to lose: Darren Lehmann
After the completion of an exuberant Dream11 Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates, the cricket world turns its attention to the land of Kangaroos as Team India is set to tour Australia. The tour will get underway starting with the ODIs on 27 November.
Speaking to Sydney Herald, the former Australia coach Darren Lehmann heaped praises on the Indian skipper for his zeal to win matches and score ample amount of runs.
“He [Virat Kohli] always pushes the boundaries, but that's what great players do. He wants to win every game. That was one of the more fiery ones [2017 series] going around in recent years,” Lehmann told Sydney Herald.
Lehmann also points at Kohli's 'never say die attitude' and is just awe of his flawless execution on the cricket field.
"That's just the way he plays; he plays full of energy and doesn't want to lose," the former Aussie coach said.
The Virat Kohli-led Indian side is now under mandatory quarantine upon overseas arrival in Sydney, as mandated by the Australian Government.
