In an interesting turn of events, India captain Virat Kohli has reclaimed his second spot on the ICC Test Batsman Rankings. Meanwhile, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson slipped one spot thus giving Kohli the edge.
While the most anticipated Border-Gavaskar Test series has just begun, captain Kohli and his lieutenants Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara would be looking to leave no stone unturned against the Aussies. The Australian star batsman, Steve Smith still holds the coveted first spot in the rankings.

In the latest ICC Test Bowlers ranking, Team India's Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin feature in the top 10 on eighth and tenth spot respectively.
Australia vice-captain, Pat Cummins currently stands as the number one ranked bowler in Tests with 904 points followed by Stuart Broad (845), Neil Wagner (840), Tim Southee (825), Kagiso Rabada (802), Mitchell Starc (797), James Anderson (781), Jasprit Bumrah (779), Josh Hazlewood (769) and Ravichandran Ashwin (756).
