Virat Kohli is one of the best players to ever play the game of cricket- AB de Villiers
Virat Kohli has been in terrific touch in this year’s IPL with his tally reading 500 runs at an average of 71.42. Despite currently being in the second position in the scoring charts, VK’s form off late has been absolutely unreal.
Despite the overwhelming numbers, there have still been questions about his strike rate. Though the numbers look fabulous with 147.49, a few believe that he has been overtly slow.
Virat’s former teammate at RCB and RCB Hall of Famer, AB de Villiers silenced the critics once and for all. A couple of days back, New Zealand radio personality and commentator, Simon Doull opened up on this too and echoed the sentiments of ABD.
Talking on his Youtube channel, ABD said, “Virat Kohli, catching criticism about his strike rate. It's been going on for way too long and I am sort of fed up with that now. I'm frustrated to say the least. This guy is one of the best players to ever play the game of cricket. He's incredible in the IPL, he plays a certain role for RCB, and I've pretty much had enough of data-driven pundits who keep criticizing this man. When you don't really have knowledge of the game. How many games of cricket have you played, how many IPL hundreds have you scored?”
Virat will be back in action as RCB gears up for the return leg fixture against the Gujarat Titans where they will be hosting Shubman Gill and company on Saturday evening at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
