Virat Kohli inspires contemporaries and juniors alike
The professionalism and attitude that Virat Kohli has introduced in Team India’s set-up in the last few years is often rated highly by the juniors as well as the contemporaries.
Hanuma Vihari says that he has learnt work ethic and how to prepare ahead of the game from the Indian skipper. Vihari, who has been a part of India's Test middle-order for some time now, revealed this on an Instagram chat.
“The best part of Kohli's game is his preparation. I have learnt that from him. His work ethic is also amazing," said the 26-year-old.
Not just among teammates, the RCB skipper has a fan following among the adversaries too.
In another session on Instagram, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner asked teammate Kane Williamson who the Kiwi thought was the best batsman in the world. Williamson said that it was difficult to name one, but went with two RCB stars – AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli.
"It's very hard to pinpoint one. Someone like AB -- I know he only plays franchise cricket now, but in terms of gifted players, he is right up there. And a top guy as well. He's one of the special players of our time. But (there are) so many quality players. Kohli, in all formats, has a real hunger to dominate. He is so good to watch and play against, and to learn as well. He has set the bar so high.”
When Warner was asked to reveal who is thought was the best in the world, the left hander went ahead with three names. "I would have you (Williamson), Smithy (Steve Smith) and Virat to bat for my life," he said.
