Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj climb up the charts in the latest ICC ODI rankings

Virat Kohli has been leading the Indian charge again as he has been in the midst of a purple patch, that saw him toppling encroaching bowlers comprehensively and getting the momentum rolling. Despite not being a part of the last couple of T20I series, he has been absolutely sublime in the last two ODI series where he smashed three centuries that also saw him belting out an unbeaten 166 in the last game of the Sri Lanka series.

With such staggering numbers, Virat Kohli has secured a massive leap in the latest ICC ODI rankings, clawing in close vicinity to the ace of the table. The 34-year-old batter managed to bag 4 spots and climbs to the number 4 position of the latest ICC ODI batting rankings. He has managed to smash three centuries from his last 5 games that sparked such a development in the points table of the batting rankings.

Currently, Pakistan’s Babar Azam holds the ace in the batting rankings with 887 points and is followed by seasoned South African batter, Rassie van der Dussen who has 766 points next to his name. Another South African has the third spot for himself as Quinton de Kock makes the cut for the top three with 759 points.

Virat Kohli has 750 points in his kitty and will need a string of decent knocks to continue the kind of dominating rampage that he has been a part of late to surpass the likes of the Pakistan skipper. To add to Virat’s tally, India will have a lot of ODIs in the forthcoming year that will provide an opportunity to the former Indian captain to make his further up.

Meanwhile RCB quick, Mohammed Siraj managed to leap up to the 3rd position in the bowling rankings after a continued bout of aggression clubbed with some clinical accuracy that has always found him amongst wickets of late. He has been leading the Indian charge in the Powerplay and the kind of miserly figures that he has accrued of late is nothing but a result of his unwavering faith and diligence.
