Virat Kohli always says you’re the captain of your bowling: Yuzvendra Chahal

Royal Challengers Bangalore leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal lauded captain Virat Kohli for giving the bowlers the freedom to set up their field. RCB is set to face the Rajasthan Royal on Saturday afternoon at Shiekh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi which is sure to be a ‘Royal Encounter’.

So far, Yuzi has played 86 matches and scalped 105 wickets in the IPL for RCB. Most of his dismissals have come at the team's home—M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is also called the bowlers’ graveyard.

The 30-year-old shares his experience of playing under Virat Kohli at the Bengaluru-based team over the past six years. The skipper believes in the philosophy that 'the captain in charge of field placements is the bowler who comes down to the bowl.'

“It’s been like 6 years now. Virat bhaiya has always been full of confidence. He always says you’re the captain of your bowling whatever field you want, just go with that and if it’s not working then we will go for plan B,” Chahal was quoted as saying in a press conference.

Everyone knows that Virat Kohli is full of passion and wants to bring out the best results from his fellow teammates and that motivates players to perform on the big stages. Especially, when you're a youngster, there's no one better than King Kohli to have in your corner. 

“As a bowler or a youngster, he gives you more confidence. Whether it’s Indian team or RCB, everyone has the liberty to set their own field,” he added.
