Tom Curran ruled out of BBL 2023/24 due to knee injury

Tom Curran has been ruled out for the remainder of the Big Bash League 2023/24 season due to a knee injury. With his injury extent yet to be fully ascertained, Curran will no longer be a part of this year’s BBL, putting his participation in the ILT20 in doubt as well.

With the BBL season approaching the business end with only two more games remaining for the Sydney Sixers, Curran’s injury, which he picked up during the match against Melbourne Stars means he finishes the tournament with best figures of 3/19 against the Hobart Hurricanes.

A statement released by the Sydney Sixers stated, “The full extent of the injury is currently not known with Curran set to return to the UK in the coming days and undergo further assessment at home.”

Curran was signed by RCB for his base price of INR 1.5 Crore in the IPL 2024 Auction, and the Englishman will hope to recover well in time and get back in action to be fully fit for the tournament.
