The Gujarat Titans will be back in action as they enter the arcade for a swashbuckling encounter against the Mumbai Indians, hoping to pump out another win after a shock defeat to the Punjab Kings in the preceding contest. Mumbai Indians, on the contrary, will be hoping to salvage hope and prestige from their remaining encounters as they got their first win of the season against the Rajasthan Royals.

For Mumbai, it has been a bumpy ride owing to a rollercoaster season that took them 9 games before they could finally secure their opening win of the season. Riley Meredith would dish out an impeccable performance with the ball to keep his team in hunt while Suryakumar Yadav would stitch together a perfect innings to seal the deal for the five-time champions of the tournament.

The Titans have had a phenomenal start to their IPL journey as they have won 8 out of 10 games so far with their latest fall coming in the preceding game against a resolute Punjab Kings. They would have a rare batting failure with Kagiso Rabada conjuring a four-fer to leave the Titans crippled.

Despite the ginormous differences in terms of the points table, the contest will be starring intense bouts of excitement and passion with two star-studded teams joining the encounter with contrasting purposes on the line.

Venue Watch:

Brabourne will play the perfect host to two teams with some decent firepower up their sleeves. This is a surface that has something for everyone as the fast bowlers will have bounce and carry early in the game while the spinners can drift in with some turn in the second half of the game. The ball will be gripping to the surface that will issue a cautionary tale to the batters. Yesterday’s game between the Capitals and the Sunrisers would see the batters make merry with 180 plus totals in both the innings but the fall of 8 wickets in the second innings also relays the fact that the bowlers will have something to relish.
