Team India has been in the midst of some terrific form as they have secured eight out of eight wins in the group stage fixtures and can very well be in line for that ninth win as well with the Netherlands in sight in World Cup 2023. However, at the moment, the focus for the Men in Blue is not really the last fixture of the group stages but the semi-finals, a stage that has seen Team India crash out of the World Cup in both 2015 and 2019.

With that being said, this time, the entire Indian cricket team has been highly pumped up and after playing what has been a marathon tournament so far, Dinesh Karthik believes that this Indian squad is undoubtedly the best in the history of ODI World Cups.

Talking on Cricbuzz, Karthik highlighted that first and foremost, the chemistry of the team has been absolutely sensational and apart from that, the senior and junior players have come together to stitch an aura of brilliance that has made India almost unstoppable.

Karthik said, “I'm going out on a limb to say this but this Indian team is probably the strongest team that India has ever had in ODIs. In World Cups for sure. There's no Indian team that has dominated like this current 2023 team. You have to pit it against other Indian teams which have done very well but it will run other teams very close to it being the greatest ODI team ever in terms of performances and pressure.”

He also had a crucial advice for the Indian captain who will be waiting for the second semi-finalist, adding, “It's in Mumbai, the first big decision, if they win the toss, will be if they would bat first or bowl first because there will be dew but then they will have to get past that first spell. The first 10 overs the ball swings and moves. There's no question what the level is going to be till the finals. It's going to be the same XI. Every player has ticked the box and is looking good for the semis."
