One of the calmer additions to the RCB XI in the UAE leg of the IPL 2021 has been wicket-keeper batsman KS Bharat. A top class wicket-keeper with really good hands, Bharat has also contributed with his batting, coming in to bat at crucial junctures of the match.

Against Rajasthan Royals, Bharat played brilliant innings of 44 off 50, stitching a match-winning 69-run partnership with Glenn Maxwell.

Talking about Bharat’s innings Maxwell, who went not-out on 50, told Star Sports, "It is nice to have a bunch of guys doing different things and not relying on one guy. Everyone is chipping in and it has been a really enjoyable group so far. I wouldn't call it an experiment, he's (Bharat) a genuine top-class batter and the way he has gone about his innings is outstanding.”

While Bharat termed it a learning opportunity to be playing alongside the big names of RCB.

"Definitely, you play with Virat Kohli, Maxwell, and AB de Villiers, you tend to learn a lot of good things in terms of cricket and how to handle things out of cricket,” he said.

"Whatever hard work you do on the backend always counts on the bigger platform like this. You tend to explore lots of cricket, domestic as well as franchise cricket, it all helps,” Bharat added further.

Bharat, who has been with the Indian team in the longer format as a back-up wicket-keeper on tours has been impressive with his all-round play and looks destined for greater things in days to come.
