Last night, RCB lifted their second WPL trophy, after beating the Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets in the final.

A phenomenal performance from Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll propelled them across the finish line in what was a high-octane chase. Summing up the entire journey for RCB, Head Coach Malolan Rangarajan opened up on their dream run.

Talking in a video where he is seen addressing the team in the dressing room, Malo highlighted how things went from the start to the end. He underlined the kind of hard work that took RCB to the dream station from the word go itself. It was all about creating a statement and according to Malolan, the statement was made for an eternity.

Malolan said, “I'll say it again, I am so very proud of each and every one of you. The things we achieved this season was the so many firsts. Five wins in a row, make it six from last year. Qualifying even before coming here. You also talked about different players standing up at different times. Different player of the game, player of the matches. And that is a reflection of all the work you girls have put in during the prep.”

He further added, “The coaching staff couldn’t have asked for anything more. We initially spoke about a statement start. We did that, well done. And then we spoke about finishing on top of the group stage. We did that too. Well done on that. And then when it came to the final, our end result was trying to master these conditions.”
