Talking at the pre-match presser, Andy Flower opened up on RCB’s mindset pointing out that the focus in on the present for the entire band. Flower also emphasized on how every single game is different while highlighting the perspective that the team has for them.
Underscoring RCB’s mindset, Flower said, “We’ve moved on from last year and are focused on the new challenges this season brings. The players have been enjoying that journey, and tomorrow should be another great contest.”
Opening up on how he maintains balance in the side, Flower added, “It’s important to treat wins and losses with a fair degree of equanimity. You don’t want to get too carried away with either. Each game presents a fresh challenge, and that’s how we approach it.”
With the kind of scores that have been posted in IPL 2026 so far and the pressure situations that follow, Flower offered a nuanced perspective, stating, “Fear is a normal human emotion. Instead of trying to ignore it, we encourage players to recognise it and respond well. That’s a healthier way to deal with pressure situations.”
