The Indian squad for home series against South Africa announced

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) with the recommendation of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) recently appointed former Indian International bowler - Sunil Joshi as the chairman of selectors of the Indian cricket team.

8 March 2020: The All-India Senior Selection Committee on Sunday announced the Indian cricket team for the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa. 

Virat Kohli will be leading the side against South Africa

Putting all speculations to rest, Virat Kohli will be leading the Indian cricket team against South Africa. The Indian team will see the return of Hardik Pandya, Shikhar Dhawan, and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, as they feature in the 15-men squad for the upcoming series.

The 26-year-old allrounder, Hardik Pandya, who had undergone surgery back in September will be making his much-awaited return for the men in blue. In the meantime, Rohit Sharma was not cleared due to injury that he picked up during the New Zealand series.

Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Virat Kohli (Captain), KL Rahul (Wicketkeeper), Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (Wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini, Kuldeep Yadav, Shubman Gill.

Three of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s players - Virat Kohli, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Navdeep Saini will be a part of the squad, which will host South Africa at home.

The Proteas will be on a three-match ODI tour against India. The series is scheduled to kickstart on the 12th of March 2020 at Dharmashala, followed by Lucknow and Kolkata getting to host a game each.
