Yashasvi Jaiswal has had a glamorous start to his international career as he is being touted as one of the finest hitters in modern-day cricket. From T20Is to Tests, Jaiswal has proven himself to be a stunning striker of the cherry and more importantly, his fearless attitude adds to his glistening numbers early on in his career.
Talking at the pre-match press conference, Indian captain Rohit Sharma opened up on the youngster’s hunger to learn more and apply himself in a much more exerting manner that would leave the opposition rattled. He underlined how Jaiswal’s novelty to international cricket has been an even bigger force to keep him rolling.
Rohit said, “I am not surprised at all because the guy has got real talent. He has got the game to play in all sorts of conditions. Obviously, very new to international cricket right now, so, very hard to judge. But he has got all the ingredients for success at this level.”
He further added, “He is somebody who wants to learn the game, learn about batsmanship. When a youngster comes into the team, his mindset is quite critical. He always wants to improve, and is not happy with what he has achieved and which is obviously a great start to a young career. We found a great player. Hopefully, he can continue to do what he has done in the last year or so."
