Team India will be put up in a "managed isolation" isolation facility ahead of the World Test Championship final against New Zealand, International Cricket Council announced.

"The event has now been granted an exemption by the UK government as outlined in The Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel and Operator Liability) (England) Regulations 2021, released on 17 May 2021," the ICC said in a media release.

However, the ICC did not reveal the exact period of hard quarantine the team might be put in upon reaching UK.

While New Zealand are already in England for a bilateral series against the hosts, the Virat Kohli-led side will be reaching UK on June 3 after completing a 14-day quarantine period in India.

After the completion of the WTC final India will feature in a five-Test series against England which ends of 14th September. From England, members of the team who are a part of the IPL will move to UAE, which will conduct the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League, which was suspended earlier this month due to COVID-19.
