Super Kings and Sunrisers look for their first win in IPL 2022

The latest edition of the IPL will be rolling into the weekend with a sumptuous blockbuster of the two back-benchers in the ongoing edition as the Chennai Super Kings take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both the teams are yet to get off the mark as their campaigns have been plagued by difficulties.

The reigning champions are still desperate to find a way out of the grave pit that didn’t seem like the remotest possibility before the season started.

In both the games the Sunrisers' batters have failed to rack up something significant and their bowling has reaped very minimal results.

Chennai’s flailing campaign can be attributed to multiple faulty decisions and a couple of debatable ones too that can dent a telling blow to their IPL aspirations. Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the contrary, are still to figure out an apt chemistry for themselves.

In this contest of two struggling outfits, both sides will be desperate to open their account as a win is now the dire need of the hour to get the initial burst of confidence, a facet that can completely change the face of the game.

Venue Watch:

DY Patil Stadium has shown a slight tip in the scales as the bowlers have savoured a sway in the last couple of games with an added pint of swing that has kept the batters guessing till the last moment. Despite the movement in the pitch pruning down in the second innings, it is still existent enough to leave the batters in a tormented state and that has troubled the batters frequently. With all said and done, the team chasing will have that extra sting as the dew has so far made the surface a bit more favourable for them to bat on.
