SRH vie for two crucial points against Rajasthan Royals
A wounded Sunrisers Hyderabad vie for two crucial points as they face Rajasthan Royals at the Dubai International Stadium. The last time the two teams met, youngsters Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia starred with the bat pioneering the team to a 6-wicket win.
Jos Buttler, who had shown few flashes of brilliance with the bat, finally stepped up to the occasion against Chennai Super Kings. On a two-paced wicket, Buttler took the attack to the opposition bowlers plundering boundaries at regular intervals. His brisk knock set the tone, while Steve Smith employed a cautious approach, holding the fort at another end. The win would have given them the much-needed boost as we head deep into the business end of the tournament.
Sunrisers Hyderabad found themselves on the losing side in their previous fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. They have failed to tighten the screws when required. A major factor of concern for them will be David Warner and Jonny Bairstow's inconsistency with the bat. The team have often fizzled out after a few good starts, largely due to their misfiring middle order - which was pretty much evident in their previous game against Kolkata Knight Riders. The aptitude to construct partnerships after a promising start has cleared lacked in all the games.
Both the teams withering at the bottom half of the table can ill afford a loss, particularly at this stage of the tournament. The Royals, who have managed to secure 8 points are 6th currently, while Sunrisers find themselves tottering at 7th in the standings.
The David Warner-led side will be looking to avenge their loss and get back to the winning ways.
